Rahul Gandhi wanted the biggest state UP be the No.1 in the country

Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi is very much concerned the sad state of affairs in the country’s most populous state Uttar Pradesh. He always wanted that UP should be developed fast and should become the number one state in the country.

Whenever he campaigned in Uttar Pradesh, he always expressed his concern over the state of affairs in the state. “Other states are using the central schemes and central funds for the development of the state, but the Uttar Pradesh government never bothered to utilize it rather they misused it for their own benefits. The money is meant for you, it should reach your hands; it should be used for your welfare, betterment. It should be used for you in the form of roads, electricity, hospitals and for the creation of employment. Several companies are coming in other states to invest and people are getting employment there, but no one comes to UP,” Rahul Gandhi had said on several occasions.

Rahul Gandhi also assured, “I am here to work for the progress of the state with you. This is the biggest state of our country, it should be ahead of other states, but I feel sorry to say that at present the state has deviated from the path of development.”

“Uttar Pradesh is in shambles, still the state government is not bothered. Look at the hospitals, the schools, roads, and electricity; there is nothing to be happy about. You know better than me, you have to face the problem in your daily life,” he had said.

The Congress MP from Amethi had come down heavily on the state government and had said, “The state government has tied your hands and is not letting you work for progress. When other states are progressing using the manpower of Uttar Pradesh, why can’t the people of UP develop their own state. The only reason one thinks of it is the state government’s non-cooperation and insensitiveness. You need to change this, you need to think in a modern way to change this and I am here with you to work with you.“

The society has been divided on the basis of caste and religion by the divisive forces for their own interest, added Rahul Gandhi. “Several governments ruled the state for the last fifteen years and never thought of working for your welfare. Now the time has come, we will work together for the development of the state and will get back the lost glory, and this can be done easily by the young people of the state,” he commented.

Rahul Gandhi also informed that the Congress-led central government gave the biggest chunk of the central funds to Uttar Pradesh, but the state government never utilized it.
