Rahul Gandhi at IIIT Amethi “India achieved a lot after independence”

Congress General Secretary and MP from Amethi Rahul Gandhi spoke at the occasion of the convocation ceremony at IIT Amethi and said that our country did achieve a lot after the independence.
“Let me talk about the big picture. India is the second big country in the world and we are close to become the first country in terms of population that is going to overtake that of China. So we have a responsibility to the rest of the world. One out of every six human beings is an Indian. In the last sixty years, after we achieved Independence, we have worked very hard to move forward” said Rahul Gandhi.
Rahul Gandhi continued “There is a general tendency among us in India to say “kuch ho nahi raha..”, to complain. But if you look objectively about what we achieved as a country we will realize that we have achieved a lot”. “When we had started sixty years ago, all of us were poor. All of us were not connected with each other.  There were no proper roads, electricity, schools, healthcare centres sixty years before.  There was no proper connectivity. Villagers were not connected. The energy of India that lies within the people, was spread around and was not connected to each other and not talking to each other” added the Congress leader.
