Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi has ridiculed the slogan of BJP in Uttarakhand - Khanduri hai zaroori' (Khanduri is necessary)- at a series of public rallies in Uttarakhand. "Khanduri isliye zaroori hain kyonki choron ko chhupana hai" (BJP wants to cover up misdeeds of its crooks by hiding behind Khanduri's cloak), retorted the Congress General Secretary while addressing a rally in Srinagar.
With elections to the state assembly exactly a week away, both Congress and BJP have scaled up their attack on each other, with corruption and Muslim sub-quota emerging as the main agenda.
Rahul Gandhi also accused BJP in Uttarakhand for looting the public funds. The Congress General Secretary also listed out various scams under the state Government like Kumbh Mela scam, power scam. Rahul Gandhi urged people to support and elect a Congress Government in Uttarakhand for the betterment of the people and the state.
