Striking an emotional chord with the youth in the state of Uttar Pradesh, Congress General Secretary expressed hope that the powerful youth will transform the state by electing a progressive Congress Government in UP. He also attacked BSP chief Mayawati for not fulfilling the aspirations of the people of the state and keeping the youth unemployed. Congress (I) General Secretary Rahul Gandhi has called upon the youth of Uttar Pradesh to gear up to bring change in the state.
During his various public contact program in the districts of Uttar Pradesh, the Congress leader said that if the youth remains reluctant to take the lead, nothing is going to change in UP. He also added that while the youth of UP by working in other states are bringing development in those states why they cannot do the same in their home state. If the Congress (I) will come to power in UP then both UP and Delhi will be ruled by the same party; they will work in tandem for uplift of people and ensure that funds granted under various schemes reach the intended beneficiaries instead of being pocketed by ministers and contractors, said Rahul Gandhi.
