Launching a scathing attack against Mayawati for running most corrupt government, Congress (I) has said most of her cabinet ministers too have been involved in scams. Babu Singh Kushwaha once very close to Mayawati during his tenure as Minister of Family Welfare was involved in NRHM scam amounting to Rs 5,000 crores which even lead to murders. Kushwaha, the biggest thief of Mayawati government has now joined BJP – a safe hideout for corrupt leaders, said Rahul Gandhi while campaigning for the upcoming elections. The NRHM scam is now being investigated by CBI. Previously as Mining Minister he was involved in scam relating to transportation of sand material. Mayawati’s another Minister Dadu Singh as Rural Development Minister has been involved in SRGY scam, said Congress (I). Yet another senior minister in her government Nasimuddin Saddiqi has been involved in a huge scam in road construction. Congress (I) has said under his ministership only select people were given contracts for road construction. Lokayukta is looking into a complaint against him for possession of assets disproportionate of his known sources of income. Ram Prasad Choudhary as Consumers Affairs and Public Distribution Minister has been involved in scam of bogus rice mills. To end this corruption, Rahul Gandhi urged the people this time to vote for Congress (I) and assured them corruption-free and transparent government.
