While addressing an election rally at Basti as part of his ongoing campaign for the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections, Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi said while taking a dig at BJP’s slogan ‘India Shining’ that there should be proper thought before making a slogan.
"These parties have looted your hard earned money. They wasted 22 years of U.P by not doing anything for the progress and development in the state," he asserted.
“Mayawati was the Chief Minister here four times. BSP and BJP ruled the state for four times. But none of these parties did anything for the progress and development of Uttar Pradesh for the past 22 years. If you elect them again, the same wrong-doings will continue” he reminded.
