Rahul Gandhi: Congress will not ally with any party except the people of UP

For the past 22 years UP has been witnessing elections after every five years. But no development took place in the state. The parties SP, BJP and BSP never bothered about the people or the progress of the state said Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi while speaking at a big election rally in Ramabai Nagar in the poll bound Uttar Pradesh.
Congress will ally only with the people of Uttar Pradesh and not with any parties, repeated Rahul Gandhi. He urged the people to support Congress and help it to form a Government for bringing back Uttar Pradesh to the path of progress.

He was addressing a mammoth election rally in Ramabai Nagar in Uttar Pradesh as part of his ongoing campaign for the UP assembly polls. In 2009 SP had approached us to have an alliance with Congress. But we refused it said Rahul Gandhi. Mulayam joined hands with Kalyan Singh, he reminded. But Congress could secure more seats than SP said Rahul Gandhi.
