Priyanka Gandhi Vadra has been campaigning for Congress in Inhauna (Tiloi assembly) in Amethi on 5th February 20012. While addressing an election rally she requested voters to exercise the right to vote cautiously and intelligently so as to bring in positive changes in Uttar Pradesh.
Priyanka Gandhi reminded the people and said “Only you can teach a lesson to those who don't have a feeling of service towards the people, who think that power is an opportunity to foster their own welfare. If there has been a politics that has negated you, you also are responsible for it… You have been witnessing this the past 22 years and you have tolerating it. Time has come to ask yourself.. Don’t you want to see a bright and strong future for you and your children…”
Priyanka Gandhi then asked “What is the purpose of politics? How do your leaders behave?” and added “ If you do not ask these questions to yourself and if you don’t cast your vote intelligently, you will be the biggest looser and not the leaders, Congress party or Dr Muslim, because it is your election. Yesterday someone was saying that this is the question of pride and honour of Rahul Ji as this is his constituency and Rahul Ji has been campaigning extensively in the state… and Congress should win all the seats in Rahul Ji’s constituency… But I do not agree with this… Rahul Ji’s honour is not connected with the votes… Rahul Ji’s honour is related with your affection… And it will continue as long as Rahul Ji and my family are blessed with your love and affection... This is the question of your prestige, because a leader is your servant… “
