Priyanka Gandhi Vadra in Amethi: It is the people who make leaders with...

Priyanka Gandhi Vadra while campaigning in Dhema (Amethi), Uttar Pradesh urged the people to free the state of Uttar Pradesh from the 22 years of anti-poor Governments. In democracy the biggest strength is the right to vote. Your leaders come to you and tell that your vote is very valuable. Your vote is valuable not because someone becomes your leader with your votes, but because it protects your rights. You can fight for your rights through vote. If you won’t realize this that will help the negative politics you witnessed for the past 22 years to continue and the next five years also will be wasted. This will harm not only your future but also the future of your children.
You give power and strength to the leaders but it is natural for some of them that they forget the strength that helped them to come to power.. and they think that they have the entire strength... Who will make them remember this? Only you can teach the leaders that the power and strength are with the people and not with the leaders… If you do not awake and do not realize your strength, then there will not be any change or development..
I have been coming here for the past 22 years.. I witnessed governments of several political parties.. But when I see the children here I realize that they remain uneducated and there is no development.. Your state and your constituency are not going forward.. I go back but you have to stay here and tolerate all these.. But I have a question for you.. How long are you going to tolerate this?
Should the politics be like this where you have to tolerate? Politics means service. The duty of a politician is to serve the people.. It is very easy for the politicians and political parties to forget this, because you don’t fulfill your responsibility properly. If you don’t realize this and become more responsible, your rights will be suppressed like this… I hope you will remember my words when you go to vote on 15th…
