Rahul Gandhi files nomination after a huge road show in Amethi

Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi filed his nomination from Uttar Pradesh’s Amethi Lok Sabha seat on Saturday accompanied with Congress President and UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi, sister Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and Priyanka’s husband Robert Vadra. Rahul Gandhi along with Priyanka Gandhi also undertook a mega road show before filing the nomination in which thousands of people greeted their favorite leaders with rain of flowers.

Rahul Gandhi in UP, interacts with rickshaw pullers in Varanasi, Part 01

Varanasi: As part of his ongoing discussions regarding the Congress Manifesto with various sections of the society, Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi on Saturday interacted with rickshaw pullers in Uttar Pradesh's Varanasi. Speaking to a number of rickshaw pullers, Rahul Gandhi said that 'our intention is to build a strong base to live for the poor.' Some rickshaw pullers even demanded rickshaw stands that were present during Indira Gandhi's time. Rahul Gandhi patiently listened to the issues of the rickshaw pullers and offered all possible help to solve it. "Some leaders at present, come to you, give big speeches and vanish; I am not of that type. I am here to listen toy you, to know your issues" said Rahul Gandhi.

Rahul Gandhi interacts with Haryana farmers, says Congress wants to empower farmers

Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi held an an interactive session in Haryana with local framers. He spoke on the rights and the opportunities that farmers need to be provided with in the country. "What I have learnt here from you (farmers) is that I can never learn from bureaucrats.. We are trying to empower the common man, specially the farmers.. We will ensure that every citizen in this country has a right to health" said the Congress leader.

Rahul Gandhi blames opposition for non-passage of anti-corruption bills

Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi on Friday met human rights activists at Jantar Mantar here and assured them the government would bring an ordinance on anti-corruption and human rights bills. "Those in the opposition have said that they are against corruption and want to fight it. But when the time came to pass the Bills against corruption, they did not support," Rahul Gandhi told mediapersons. "Let us see if the ordinance can be brought or not. But in a way, the opposition deceived. Opposition ka dhokha hai," he added.

Rahul Gandhi inaugurates SBI branches, FM radio station, Rail Neer Plant in Amethi

Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi is on a day-long visit to his constituency Amethi to inaugurate nine SBI branches in Tiloi. While speaking on the occasion he said Central government is determine for the development. Rahul Gandhi also slammed the UP government by saying state government is not treating Amethi as it treats other places. He also inaugurates FM radio station, Rail Neer Plant in the district.

Rahul Gandhi launches Congress' LS poll campaign in Karnataka from Belgaum

Belgaum: Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi on Saturday addressed a massive party rally in Karnataka's Belgaum and slammed the BJP's double speak on corruption. "Now we see a BJP leader has been roaming around the country and talks about corruption but the large scale corruption, that took place in Karnataka when they were in power, is not visible for him. They forget that their BJP Chief Minister was sent to jail for corruption" said Rahul Gandhi.
